Overview
AXYZ Innovations LLC ("AXYZ," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the rights you have over it — when you visit axyzinnovations.com, purchase a software license, activate the AXYZ plugin, or otherwise interact with us.
1. Who We Are
AXYZ Innovations LLC is a software company based in Los Angeles, California, United States. We develop the AXYZ psychoacoustic spatial mixing plugin. For all privacy-related inquiries: info@axyzinnovations.com. We will respond within 30 days.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly. When you purchase a license, create an account, or contact us, we collect your name, email address, billing address, and payment information. Payment card details are processed entirely by Shopify Payments — we do not store, transmit, or have access to your full card number.
License activation data. When you activate the AXYZ plugin, our license server receives your license key, a hashed (non-reversible) machine identifier, OS type, plugin version, and activation timestamp. This data is used exclusively to validate your license and manage your two permitted activations. It is not used for marketing, profiling, or any purpose beyond license integrity.
Support communications. Any information you include when contacting us — emails, contact form submissions, bug reports, or diagnostic information — is retained to resolve your request and improve the product.
Analytics data. We collect standard web analytics via Google Analytics, including IP address (anonymized), browser type, pages visited, session duration, and referring URL. This data is used solely to improve the website experience. We do not use it for advertising or sell it to any third party.
Software telemetry. With your explicit consent, the AXYZ plugin may collect anonymized usage telemetry — such as which features are used and crash logs — to help us improve the Software. No audio content, project files, or personally identifiable data is ever transmitted through telemetry. You can opt out at any time in the plugin settings.
Beta program data. If you participate in the AXYZ beta program, we may collect bug reports, session logs, and feedback you submit. This data is used solely to improve the Software and is handled with strict confidentiality per the Beta NDA in the EULA.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal data to fulfill software license purchases and deliver license keys; manage your account and activations; provide customer support and respond to your inquiries; send transactional emails such as order confirmations, license delivery, and important product updates; comply with applicable legal obligations; prevent fraud and enforce our Terms of Service and EULA; and (with your consent) send marketing communications about AXYZ updates, new features, and launch pricing.
4. What We Do Not Do
We do not sell your personal data to any third party. We do not use your audio content or productions for any purpose. We do not use the AXYZ plugin to collect or transmit your audio. We do not use your data to train, improve, or develop any AI or machine learning model. We do not display advertising on our website or in our products. AXYZ Innovations LLC and axyzinnovations.com are completely ad-free.
5. Artificial Intelligence and Your Data
AXYZ Innovations LLC does not use your personal data, purchase history, audio content, or any output generated by the AXYZ Software to train, fine-tune, evaluate, or improve any artificial intelligence or machine learning system. Anonymized, non-audio plugin telemetry (such as feature usage frequency) may be used internally to guide product development decisions, but this data cannot be linked back to you individually. We are committed to never using your creative work as training material for any AI system — our own or any third party's.
6. Data Sharing
We share your personal data only with the following service providers, each bound by data processing agreements and their own privacy policies: Shopify (e-commerce platform and payment processing), Supabase (license database and authentication), Railway (license server infrastructure), Resend (transactional email delivery), and Google Analytics (anonymized website analytics). We do not share your data with any other third party except as required by law.
We may also disclose your information when required by law, court order, or government authority; when necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of AXYZ, our users, or the public; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case your data remains subject to this Privacy Policy.
7. Data Retention
We retain purchase records and license activation data for as long as your license is active and as required by applicable law. Support communications are retained for up to three (3) years. Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics' default retention settings. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time — see Your Rights below.
8. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit, encrypted database connections, HMAC-signed license responses, hashed machine identifiers, and restricted access to personal data limited to authorized personnel with a legitimate need. No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data; request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten"), subject to legal retention requirements; receive your data in a portable format; opt out of marketing communications at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us; and opt out of plugin telemetry at any time in the AXYZ plugin settings. 10. California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we have collected about you and how it is used; request deletion of your personal information; correct inaccurate personal information; and opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. AXYZ Innovations LLC does not sell or share personal information within the meaning of CCPA/CPRA. To exercise your California privacy rights, contact info@axyzinnovations.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
11. Children's Privacy
Our website and Software are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.

13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law.
